Moreover, Lillard almost beat the NBA record for most points scored in the first half. Currently, Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker holds the record with 51 points in a game against the Celtics in 2017.

Following James, Shaquille O’Neal joined the bandwagon to appreciate the Blazers star with an Instagram story. The caption read, “8th player in NBA history with a 70-point game.” Lillard managed to drop 71 points and took his side to a comfortable 131-114 victory over the Rockets.
