The Los Angeles Lakers have seen their fortunes fluctuate throughout the season. Despite starting the year with a record of 2-10, the team made a remarkable comeback. After vanquishing the No.2 seed and the defending champions, LA’s success story has been disrupted by Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets as they broke the hearts of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and the Lakers with a pivotal win on Saturday. Staring at a series sweep, the Lakers will need a miracle to recover from the 0-3 deficit. After boastfully predicting LA’s chances ahead of the Conference Finals, Magic Johnson issued a public apology following the Game 3 disappointment.
