Brooklyn Nets have been one of the most famous teams entering into the All-Star break this year. Not for their intermittent performance but for the latest drama during the trade deadline. The team stole the spotlight during the deadline, with unexpected departures and additions in a span of a few days. Adding to the above list of departures, analysts believe the Nets might have paved the exit path for their veteran point guard, Ben Simmons, with their latest business move.

Though many players and analysts in the NBA continue to blame the organization for the bizarre moves recently, fans seem to back the organization. The hate for Ben Simmons which had settled after his comeback to the team has resumed on Twitter.

Just a few months after joining the team, head coach Jacque Vaughn has shown his ability to induce chemistry within a team in a very short span. The Nets who even went on an 11-game winning streak a few months with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving brought in a lot of credit to coach Vaughn. Though the departure might cost the team, fans believe Vaughn’s presence is a boon for the Nets.

Although Ben Simmons has not been very efficient under his coaching. The guard is averaging 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in his first season with the Nets. Moreover, Simmons is averaging 3.2 points in his last 10 games under a playtime of 19 minutes. 

According to a recent tweet from an NBA writer, Coach Vaughn, and the Nets have agreed to a multi-year contract extension. Further, the writer discussed how the extension might cost the Nets Ben Simmons, considering his inefficiency under Vaughn’s coaching. However, fans did not hold back. A look into the second half of the season for the Brooklyn Nets

KD and Irving had managed to put the team in the top 8 before their departure. The team currently stands as the 5th seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 34-24. Though making it to the top 4 might be a strenuous task, the Nets still have a comfortable path to the playoffs.
