Despite being decent all season, LeBron’s efforts are not enough to bail the Lakers out of trouble. Davis is currently struggling with injuries that have troubled him all season. Moreover, Davis has not been performing up to expectations, even when he is fit to play.
Davis averages 23.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game this season. Although he has not been disappointing in terms of stats, Davis has had one of his worst seasons in terms of shooting.
Eminent analyst Kenny Smith has a solution for the Davis problem. According to him, a trade to the Houston Rockets will ensure a playoff spot for the Rockets and Davis.

Talking on the NBA on TNT show, Smith said, “ If I put Anthony Davis on the Houston Rockets, they are going to be significantly in the playoffs. If I put him in the San Antonio Spurs, in the Portland Trailblazers, they are in the playoffs.”

He further mentions that any team other than the Lakers will be in the playoffs with Anthony Davis. The team is currently in 9th place in the Western Conference and is struggling for a playoff spot.
