Michael Jordan couldn’t get a date in his younger years

“Were you popular with girls in high school?”, the interviewer had asked him during the course of the interview. “I always thought I would be a bachelor“, replied the six-time NBA champion.

“I couldn?t get a date“, he added.

Quite naturally, the interviewer found the information hard to believe. Therefore, Jordan provided an explanation. In fact, the 14-time All-Star ascribed his lack of popularity among girls to his quirky behavior in high school.

Michael Jordan met his first wife Juanita Vanoy through a mutual friend in 1985. After dating for two years, Michael proposed to Juanita on New Year’s Eve.

The couple got married in 1989 and had three children together. Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine. Michael and Juanita Jordan legally ended their marriage in 2006 after a brief separation in 2002.
