In the annals of NBA history, few players have garnered more championship titles than the legendary Michael Jordan. There exists an individual, however, who surpasses Jordan’s tally by one championship. Robert Horry stands out among the select few, LeBron James, Danny Green, and John Salley, who have achieved championship victories with three different teams in the league. The former Laker, in an interview, discussed his intense disregard for a prominent Celtics legend.

The 7x NBA champion revealed that he never had a substantial conversation with one of his coaches, despite the coach’s notable prominence. Additionally, he openly expressed his strong dislike for a significant NBA figure.

Horry revealed, “Phil and I never had a conversation except one-time. The only reason I had a conversation was because I was on the training table getting my back worked on. He was about to get his back work done. We had a conversation, and it went exactly like this: ‘How you doing?’ – ‘Good.’ ‘So what happened between you and Danny Ainge?’

In response, Horry said, “I didn’t like the motherf**ker.” It was unexpected to learn that Horry had never engaged in a significant conversation with Phil Jackson, despite winning three consecutive NBA Championships together. Furthermore, Horry expressed a strong dislike for Danny Ainge, a legendary figure who played for the Boston Celtics for numerous years, adding a surprising element to his sentiments towards Ainge.

Interestingly, this wasn’t the first time The Big Shot Bob expressed such disdain for Danny Ainge. Having coached Phoenix Suns for four years from 1996-00 with an impressive win% of 60+, Danny gained many admirers but failed to impress Horry. To note, it were the altercations that the two experienced while playing against each other that Horry took to his heart. No wonder then, that he even went on to throw a towel at Ainge’s face, which ultimately ensured his career in Phoenix stayed restricted to 32 games.
