Luka Doncic trusted his team

The Mavericks inbounded the ball with 16 seconds left on the clock. And Doncic decided to trust his teammates with the ball instead of looking for a shot for himself. He passed the ball away in the final minutes.

And fans could just see the energy drain out of Doncic as he stood there watching his team create an absolute blunder of a play. Fans could not help but react to it. One fan tweeted, “I died a little inside when that happened and Luka just covered his face.”

Another fan commented, “If this is Wood with the ball instead of Kleber, it would have a been a bucket or at the very least a good look.  Smh.”

A recap of the game

Doncic had 24 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals for the game, along with 1 block. And no other player on the Mavericks squad managed to touch the 20-point mark. Many have speculated that Christian Wood is the second-best offensive player on the team.

But even Wood had a mere 10-point game. The Dallas Mavericks have a generational player in Luka Doncic. But it seems like the front office isn’t willing to surround him with more talent for the team to win.

The game ended 100-105, a game that could’ve easily been won by the Mavs. This was by far, one of the most disappointing losses for the team.
