Tristan Thompson and Khloe Kardashian have been in an on-and-off relationship for years. The pair started dating in 2016 and welcomed their first daughter True Thompson in 2018. Then they split in 2019 amidst allegations of the NBA veteran cheating on the reality TV star. Despite this, the two remained close friends. Then last year, Thompson and Khloe announced they are expecting their second child together via surrogacy. Khloe gave birth to their son in July 2022.
However, the gender reveal of True Thompson did not go as expected for Khloe. An episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians from March 2018 revealed her shock.

During the KUWTK episode, a pregnant Khloe Kardashian was with Kim Kardashian when her younger sister Kylie revealed the gender of the child during a phone call. Kylie excitedly disclosed Khloe was having a girl from the doctor’s report. But Khloe looked a bit shocked at first. “You’re lying,” she said. “Shut up.” Kylie affirmed, “I’m not lying. I’m so excited for you, Khloe!”
However, Khloe still could not believe it. “I don’t feel like I’m having a girl at all,” Khloe said. “I’m like in a state of shock.”

The fans were not happy about her reaction to finding her baby’s gender. There was a fair bit of backlash for her reaction. Khloe then took to Twitter about the whole situation after True was born. She even admitted she was expecting a boy in her tweet. However, she added she was grateful and happy for her daughter.

The fans loved her honesty and supported her decision to admit it to the world. Many women shared that they have had similar experiences. Fast forward four years and Khloe now has a boy she “badly” wanted.
Tristan Thompson and Khloe’s future
Tristan Thompson’s mother Andrea passed away on January 5. Khloe Kardashian showed great support to Thompson in the aftermath of his mother’s death. She was present at the funeral as well.
