The marriage of WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson did not end well. And Johnson once revealed that she could believe no one because of her experience with Griner. The power forward interestingly only dated men before Griner approached. However, the two fell in love with each other and were soon engaged. But things did not go smoothly between the two. After they were engaged, the lovers had a huge fight which caused minor injuries to each other. Because of this fight, they were arrested for domestic violence.

The police put them in the same cell which Johnson did not like at all. The Dallas Wings star said that she did not like sharing the same cell with her fianc? and that she was arrested because of her actions. However, she also disclosed that their time together in the cell made them mend things between them.
Griner pleaded guilty but Johnson did not. After the lovers repaired the issue between them, they were back together. Interestingly, they decided to get married within one month of their arrest for domestic violence.
Glory Johnson’s marriage with Brittney Griner
The couple then married in May 2015 even though some of Johnson’s family members were against the wedding. Then in June, the couple announced the pregnancy of Johnson from IVF. But lightning hit the very next day in the form of a phone call from Griner’s agent. Johnson said that Griner’s agent called and informed her that Griner has filed for an annulment. But the annulment was denied by a judge. So the WNBA stars had no other option but to divorce.
Johnson revealed that she had a tough time believing anyone because of her marriage with Griner. She said, “I have male friends, sweet guys that are offering to help me, and I’m not handling it well. I’m pushing it away because I don’t trust anybody. I hope I get to a point where I can give somebody a fair chance, because I was so trusting before.”

Johnson had a challenging pregnancy as well. She was bedridden in the early days and then again after nearly miscarrying. Johnson then gave birth to two girls in October, 16 weeks premature.

Furthermore, she also had to move because her team was relocating from Tulsa to Dallas. She said that she cannot do it by herself. Even though some male friends offered to help, she could not avail it because she could not believe anyone. Johnson and Griner finally got their divorce in 2016. Now the detained star is married to Cherelle Griner.
