Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine is finally getting the recognition that he deserves. After being snubbed from the NBA All-Star game for a couple of seasons, LaVine has finally earned All-Star honors.
This season, the 25-year-old will make his debut as an All-Star reserve on March 7th 2021. While fans are happy to see him become an All-Star, there is still one thing that the fans wish to see.
They want to see Zach LaVine participate in the Slam Dunk contest. LaVine was part of arguably the most historic dunk contest along with Aaron Gordon back in 2016. But since then, he hasn’t flaunted his epic dunks in the dunk contest.

Last season, LaVine was one of the biggest snubs for the NBA All-Star game. In fact, he said:
“If I would’ve made it, I would’ve done it for y’all man.”
Zach LaVine told me last year he would’ve competed in the Slam Sunk Contest if he was named an All Star.
“If I would’ve made it, I would’ve done it for y’all man,” he said.
Now he is one! “He might be fired up,” a source with knowledge shared with me by phone.”

Unfortunately, the Bulls star didn’t make it to the All-Star team and as a result he didn’t take part in the dunk contest. But this season, LaVine has finally achieved All-Star status. Because of this, fans were anticipating him to announce his return to dunk contest.
But according to NBA insider Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, LaVine has no plans to take part in this year’s dunk contest.
“We’ve got a lot of games left. I don’t want to lose my legs. I’m a little bit past that now, man. I want to go out there and try to do the 3-point contest again. I’ll definitely take part in that.”
