However, Shaquille O’Neal completely transformed his diet and lifestyle after hearing a very sombre warning from his doctor regarding his health. Fast forward a few months, and the Big Diesel has lost over 25 kg [55 pounds]. However, O’Neal recently revealed how he used to indulge in gluttony during his playing days for a bizarre reason.

After overcoming CBOTBD, or ‘Charles Barkley over the belt syndrome,’ as he likes to call it, Shaquille O’Neal has got into the best shape of his retirement life. However, after a doctor’s visit, O’Neal took on the arduous task of body transformation at his advanced age. But after making significant progress on the journey, O’Neal recently confessed to a guilty pleasure when in the misery of ‘failure.’

While talking about Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers drama on the recent episode of ‘The Big Podcast,’ O’Neal made a revelation to co-hosts Nischelle Turner and Spice Adams. After addressing Simmons’ poor performance with the Brooklyn Nets this season, O’Neal set some mighty standards for a ‘good game.’ However, the Big Fella confessed if he failed to reach those standards in his days, he would have gone 360? on his new lifestyle.

According to 4x NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal, a good game for him would entail scoring a minimum of 28 points. After heeding the tall claims by O’Neal, Adams suggested 24 points was a more believable number. Offended by Adams’ words, O’Neal replied, “No, it’s not, it’s terrible; I don’t need to go home if I got 24 points; I go to IHOP first and eat my pancakes in misery if I got 24 points.”?However, O’Neal’s pancake confession may come off as blasphemy considering his current diet.

Moreover, after losing more than 55 pounds O’Neal has gotten rid of the ‘Charles Barkley Belly.’ The Big Fella follows a well-thought-out diet of fruit, protein shakes, salads, fish, chicken, and asparagus or other vegetables in small portions. Moreover, he combines the diet with his simple ‘Old man workout.’
