Fans go to extreme lengths to meet their idols, whether they are movie stars or sports athletes. And this story is no different. A fan gave up a steady paycheck to meet one of Luka Doncic’s teammates recently. The Dallas Mavericks stopped by a fast-food franchise ‘Raising Canes’ to sign a few autographs and a fan made sure to stop by, even if it meant that she would be fired from the job.

Luka Doncic’s teammate Christian Wood was along with the team as they had stopped by Raising Canes to do a meet and greet with fans. Wood was signing the autographs of fans when he may have had an encounter with one of his biggest admirers.

Christian Wood had a slow start to his career. He was traded multiple times before finding his home in Houston. However, the Rockets’ front office decided to trade away Wood as they hit the reset button.

Wood was initially the team leader of the second unit on the bench even though he had what it takes to be a starter. But the injury of Maxi Kleber forced head coach Jason Kidd to make some changes to the starting lineup.
