NBA legend Dennis Rodman is widely regarded as one of the biggest icons in the history of the league. Apart from having elite rebounding and defensive skills, Rodman was known for his partying habits.

This is not all. He has had numerous relationships over the years that brought him unwanted attention. Rodman has dated the likes of Madonna and Carmen Electra during his time in the NBA.

During an interview, Rodman was asked whether he tried to go back with any of his exes. The former NBA champion honestly replied that he tried a lot with Madonna and Electra. However, it did not work in his favor.

Shortly after, Rodman touched upon the topic of kids and when he was asked what is the best thing about being a father, he got emotional. Rodman said, “I hate talking about them, I get emotional.”

Dennis Rodman had a rough childhood growing up

During his time in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls, Dennis Rodman was widely regarded as one of the best players in the league. He had a rough childhood and had to struggle a lot to make it big into the NBA.

His father, Philander Rodman had 29 children with 16 women and he wasn’t around for most of his children. The same applies to Dennis Rodman.

Before his initial fame, Rodman took part in everyday ordinary jobs such as a maintenance worker and he also lived on the streets for a long time. Moreover, Rodman once also spent a night in jail.

Despite all such hardships, Rodman’s basketball abilities and his growth spurt ensured he gets noticed by scouts. He was offered a scholarship to Southern Oklahoma State University where he developed his skills. Rodman entered the 1986 NBA draft and was selected by the Detroit Pistons as the third pick in the second round.
