“I Like the War”: LeBron James Kyrie Irving Reunion Strictly Disapproved by Former Teammate Despite Speculations Months Ago

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have won a championship together. NBA fans are well aware of the dynamic between the two. Over the summer, whispers of a potential Bron-Kyrie reunion started brewing. The reaction of the fans to this news was mixed. However, one of their former teammates recently spoke about his disapproval of the reunion.

On the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers roster, shooting guard Iman Shumpert played alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. The trio won the 2016 NBA Championship against the Golden State Warriors. Despite knowing how powerful of a duo they can be, Shumpert doesn’t want the reunion to ever happen.

Iman Shumpert not a fan of a LeBron James and Kyrie Irving reunion

In an interview recently, Shumpert was asked if he ever considered that Kyrie and LeBron would play for the same team. While he admits that there is the potential of it happening, Shumpert never wants to see them play together.

He said, “I like the war bro, I wanna see as many wars as I can bro. I like the war man.”

Shumpert went on to explain how everyone knows how his body works. He craves to see the competition on the court. For the four quarters, he wants to see them get really close to fighting.

“It is the only time you all get to not like each other, those 48 minutes. Go!” he continued.

Kyrie Irving and The Brooklyn Nets in a state of crisis

The Brooklyn Nets had a turbulent off-season. Initially, Kyrie Irving and the organization failed to agree on the same terms. So Kyrie looked out for contracts with other teams.

During the offseason, Kevin Durant did two things. First, he requested a trade and then wanted Nets manager Sean Marks and coach Steve Nash out.

Following this, it was reported that the Lakers were looking for a potential Russel Westbrook trade. Suggestions were made that Kyrie Irving should replace Westbrook. This presented the opportunity for a potential LeBron-Kyrie reunion. However, none of this happened.

Presently, the Brooklyn Nets’ turbulent time continues as the team has lost four games in a row. Fans believe that the team lacks purpose and passion on the court. With the second-lowest defensive rate in the league, the Brooklyn Nets are in trouble.
