The Cleveland Cavaliers have come up as a big-time team in the NBA this season. With a young engine, they have raced through to the fourth seed. However, in their recent matchup with the Detroit Pistons, they were upset by the number one overall pick, Cade Cunningham.

His sensational all-around performance saw the Pistons pull off the upset on Cleveland.

As the number one pick, Cade had a lot of expectations on his back. However, an injury kept him away for the initial part of the season. Now, since making his debut in the league, the guard has everyone on notice. He showcased proof in the game against the Cavaliers as he helped the Pistons in taking them down.

Pistons pull off NBA upset as they beat the Cavaliers

The Cavaliers are a surprise find this NBA season. Fueled up with young talent, they took off to a 30-19 record. However, in the battle of the rookies, Cunningham handed them their 20th loss. He put up a great performance going up against Evan Mobley, who himself had a great night. This sparked conversations about Cunningham being the ROTY. However, NBA Twitter was not having it.

The Pistons were able to overturn this game thanks to a mammoth effort in the fourth quarter. The Cavaliers could only put up 17 points while the Pistons roared back with 31 to take the game 115-105.

Cade Cunningham was all over the stat sheet as he put up 19 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 3 steals on the night. Saddiq Bey continued his impressive run, topping the scorers with 31 points. Isaiah Stewart added a double-double as well, with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The Cavaliers gave up the win after falling apart in the fourth. Darius Garland led the way with 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists. ROTY favorite, Evan Mobley, added 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks against Cade. Moreover, Jarrett Allen and Dean Wade combined for 29 points as Cleveland fell to 30-20 for the season.
