In her recent appearance on The Old Man and the Three?podcast, Doris Burke opened up about her warm equation with LeBron James. As per the host’s request, she quickly recalled what it meant to see James and co. win a maiden ring for Cleveland in 2016. “I have covered LeBron for a long time and I covered him, he made the decision to go to Miami. And the vitriol was so ugly and I couldn’t be more uncomfortable. And I remember interviewing him. Only those closest to me could hear my voice crack. But LeBron wins that championship and he’s balling. And I start to choke up,”?Doris Burke said.
She added that she was not rooting against the Warriors and she revealed how much she admired Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.?“It was a hell of a series. But I’m watching this guy[LeBron] get choked up because he has poured his heart and soul into it,” she added. Previously, Burke and LBJ had shared yet another iconic moment.
