4x NBA champion and Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal has lived quite the life over the years. From a historic career in the NBA to post-retirement success in business and media, that has made him one of the wealthiest in the industry. A man like O’Neal, who has ‘had it all’, surprisingly, has his fair share of regrets in life. One of them was his ugly divorce from his ex-wife, Shaunie O’Neal.

From a Hollywood star couple to amicable co-parents, Shaquille O’Neal and now Shaunie Henderson, had a roller coaster ride as partners. After an eventful marriage lasting almost a decade and multiple separations, O’Neal and Shaunie have finally made peace with the split and have moved on in their lives. Their divorce was finalized in 2011.

After nearly two years of dating, Shaunie O’Neal finally got the proposal from pastor Keion Henderson late last year. Since then, the couple has had a long and beautiful journey to become husband and wife. They tied the knot on May 28th this year at the Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club.

The couple’s upcoming three-part special on VH1, ‘ Shaunie and Keion’s Destination I Do,’ will air on November 28th. The reality show revolves around the days leading up to the destination wedding that took place in the spring of this year. In the exclusive sneak peek of the show, Shaunie and her husband give a preview of what the fans can expect.

In the video, Henderson asked his newlywed wife, Shaunie, about her role in the Lighthouse church, a pious community-based in Houston, Texas. Shaunie admitted to still figuring out her role at the church. She further elaborated, “I, of course, want to do something with the women, and probably the kids, the little babies, but I want to be the best wife to you.”

Along with revealing his intentions to paly a crucial role in the church, she boldly expressed her desire to be the ‘best wife’ to Henderson. Subsequently, Henderson reciprocated her thoughtfulness and highlighted her importance in his life. According to him, Shaunie helped him reveal a completely new side to him. The pastor further proceeded to call his newly-wed wife ‘a stone cold fox’ for her competence and charisma.

Incidentally, Shaq had congratulated Shaaunie on her new journey in one of the episodes of his Big Podacst.

After his stint with the Orlando Magic, Shaquille O’Neal made his way to Hollywood and signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. The move helped him meet his future wife, Shaunie. After a couple of years of dating, the couple tied the knot in 2002.

However, O’Neal’s extravagant lifestyle and unfaithful practices outside their marriage resulted in an ugly split in 2007 when O’Neal filed for a divorce. After reconsidering, the two got back together to fix their marriage, but their attempt fell flat. Shaunie filed for a divorce in 2009. Later on, Shaq would publicly assume responsibility for the split between the two and even regret his life choices.

O’Neal and Shaunie had four kids together. After almost a decade since their divorce, the two are now on good terms with each other as amicable co-parents.
