Charles Barkley has had enough controversial moments on the court where he has gotten into physical altercations back in his day. One of the infamous moments was his brawl with Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O?Neal when Barkley was playing for the Phoenix Suns. However, recently, ?Sir Charles? relived one of the darkest nights in his life while on the show with Ernie Johnson.

Recently, Charles Barkley sat down with Ernie Johnson for an episode of the ?Steam Room.? The two were joined by T.V. producer Tim Kylie as well. Moreover, the three managed to delve into various subjects on the show. One is a dark night from Barkley’s past.

Charles Barkley relived a dark night from his past

Tim Kylie started the conversation with how the two felt about NFL veteran Aaron Rodgers. Kylie brought up Aaron Rodgers? four-day retreat, which he mentioned as, ?four days hiding in a cave.?

That is when Charles Barkley explained what Rodgers did. For those of you who are yet uninitiated, Aaron Rodgers went on a sky cave darkness retreat in Oregon, where he spent four days in a dark room to get more clarity as to where he is in life.

Eventually, host Ernie Johnson asked Barkley whether he could sit in a cave for four days. To which Charles replied, ?Hell no.? Johnson then did ask Barkley how long he thought he could last in a cave.

Charles mentioned that it would be around two hours. Further, Johnson said he wouldn?t be able to last two hours. That is when Tim Kylie mentioned that Barkley had spent an entire night in jail.

The 76ers legend said, ?I was only in there like eight hours, and it seemed like an eternity.? Eventually, all three blew it off by fooling around and joking about Charles? time in jail back then.

Why was Charles Barkley in jail?

Charles Barkley was once arrested and thrown in jail back in 1991. The 6?6 forward was playing for the Philadelphia 76ers then. Having just finished a game against the Milwaukee Bucks. And later on, decided to go out for a drink with a few Bucks players.

That is when three men approached him and threatened to beat him up. All this because they did not like Barkley as a player. The 11-time All-Star ended up punching a guy which broke his nose. However, Barkley was later only charged with two misdemeanor charges and let go.
