However, years before he made it to the league, 17-year-old Luka Doncic revealed his American dream while driving his Porsche in Spain.

Luka Doncic got the basketball genes from his father Sa?a Don?i?, who is a two-time Slovenian league champ. The four-time All-Star signed with the Spanish pro basketball team Real Madrid at the age of 13. At 17, Doncic sealed his entry to the NBA after winning the 2018 EuroLeague Championship and also securing the EuroLeague MVP. Two days after winning with Real Madrid, Doncic was seen driving his Porsche and talking about the next step in his basketball journey.

Luka Doncic’s American dream
As seen in the fifth episode of NBA’s Pass the Rock docuseries, a 17-year-old Luka drove his Porsche on the streets of Madrid, along with a reporter who asked him some interesting questions. Doncic shared that it was tough for him in his younger days living away from home because he only prefers to eat pasta and hamburgers. Moreover, the documentary reporter pointed at Luka Doncic’s tiger tattoo and asked the Mavericks star to tell the story behind it.

In response, Doncic stated, “I just like tiger. Maybe if we go to United States, I will buy a tiger, like Mike Tyson. I love it.” The idea of making it to the NBA and buying a tiger like the boxing legend left the Mavericks star thrilled.
