Russell Westbrook signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2021-22 season. With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook, the future was looking bright for the Lakers. But things didn’t go as planned; the Lakers failed to make it to the playoffs. Anthony Davis suffered a gruesome injury, sidelining him for most of the games.

The King had a remarkable season, but his herculean effort at the age of 37 was not enough to overcome Westbrook’s mediocre performance. Westbrook had one of his worst seasons last year, where he was down in all the significant statistics. Low efficiency and a high turnover rate made the team bleed in the rankings finishing the season at the 11th position in the Western Conference.
