NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is a huge fan of Beyonce and has talked multiple times about the superstar. Beyonce recently made history by winning her 32nd Grammy Award, most in the history, and cemented herself as one of the best musicians ever. However, there was a bit of controversy involving her husband Jay-Z. The host, Trevor Noah, addressed Beyonce as Beyonce Knowles, her maiden name, before presenting her with the award.

In one of the recent episodes of the Big Podcast with Shaq, co-host Nischelle Turner suggested that Jay-Z was not impressed with Noah because he addressed his wife by her maiden name. Nischelle Turner was not happy with Trevor Noah as well.

During the show, Nischelle Turner argued the superstar should have been addressed as Beyonce Knowles Carter since she is married to Jay-Z. However, Shaquille O’Neal was not in agreement and declared it was indeed her name. But Turner was not ready to back down and added that the couple has been through a lot and they have three children together so she should be addressed as Carter. But Shaq was still not convinced and stated that “insensitive husbands” of superstars should let their wives live their lives.

A few minutes later on the show, Turner asked whether Shaq would buy tickets for Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour. He replied that he won’t buy tickets for himself but would buy them for his family members. However, it was not because O’Neal is not interested but because of his admiration. He said, “I went to one of her shows and I’ve never felt like that before. When she does some of this sh*t, and my dumb a** didn’t see the fan there but I was like, ‘How the hell is her hair blown on every song?'”

Shaq added, “She’s perfection when it comes to performance. But would I go the second time, I wouldn’t go.”

Even though the 2000 NBA MVP admitted his admiration of Beyonce, he did not want to watch the show for the second time. However, he was still ready to pay for his family.
