According to a report by Spurs Talk, the team’s phone lines have gotten noisier with frequent calls from Brooklyn. The source in the report said, “It’s an extremely busy room right now. There’s a lot of talk and there’s a lot of pressure being applied from a number of different angles.”

The Spurs have the highest salary cap in the league, standing at a whopping $27 million leaving all the room in the world to onboard Irving. No other team in the league even comes close to the cap space of Greg Popovich’s Spurs. Interestingly, the insider also revealed, “The Nets have specifically told teams they’d be most interested in Josh Richardson and Zach Collins from the Spurs”

The Nets, who potentially stand to lose both their stars, are undoubtedly gearing up for a rebuild. The top brass recently sidelined Irving till the trade deadline.
