LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers seem to be in the mood to do anything to make a comeback this season. And day by day there is news regarding potential trades of players across the league, and each time the Lakers seem to make their way into the conversation. Furthermore, recent news of an ex-Lakers star broke out and the fans blamed LeBron for it. As one of the fans said, “If this happens I’m done watching the NBA.”

Carmelo Anthony remained unsigned after his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers expired last season. Anthony is reportedly said to be in talks with the Tainan TSG GhostHawks. And he could soon join the franchise and could be back in action on a basketball court in the T1 league. The 38-year-old has played in 12 All-Star games and has averaged 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and a 45 percent field goal shooting percentage in his career.

If Anthony were to move to Taiwan he would be the second ex-Lakers star to make the change in recent times, following center Dwight Howard, who joined Taiwanese side Taoyuan Leopards earlier this month. Howard played his last season in the NBA with the Lakers as well.

And in his last season in the NBA, Anthony averaged 13.3 points and 4.2 rebounds in 69 games. Furthermore, the NBA world seems to be disappointed and they came forward and presented their views. And their most common target was Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James.

Here are some of the reactions from NBA Twitter:

The NBA is bigger than ever and will likely keep growing for a long time. And now every other country is hosting its own basketball league. The T1 League was founded in 2021 and is a Taiwanese men’s professional basketball league. The league currently has six teams, and one of those is the Tainan TSG GhostHawks, who have set their sights on Carmelo Anthony.

Hsieh Yu-min, the owner of the GhostHawks, believes that the presence of an NBA superstar in the franchise will bring international attention to the league. Such marquee signings will certainly help the league grow and establish a reputation in the international market. What’s more, is that the other players in the league can get a lot from Anthony’s NBA experience.
