Recently rapper Lil Wayne sat down for a podcast where he gave LeBron James and Kevin Durant their flowers.

Other than the two superstars, Wayne also talked about Chris Paul. He stated that a star like Paul has been unlucky for most of his career. Regardless, Tunechi talked highly of all three legends while admitting that he has shed tears for CP.

Lil Wayne pays respect to LeBron James and Kevin Durant

Wayne made an appearance on the All The Smoke podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. Often referred to as the best rapper alive, Wayne was asked by Jackson about his famous tweet on Luka Doncic. In May 2022, the 40-year-old tweeted “Luka a h*.” Wayne said that his opinion of Doncic has changed since the time he tweeted. Moving forward, Wayne was asked about his favorite players from the league. As someone who has seen the rise of our aging superstars at the moment, Wayne’s answer was very straightforward. He had the usual suspects on the list of his favorite players.

He said, “To watch Bron play now…in the regular season, it felt eccentric.” Wayne said that LeBron is not going to retire anytime soon, therefore this wasn’t the last dance. There have been rumors about King James retiring ever since the LA Lakers got knocked out of the title race. No official statement in that regard was provided by the LeBron camp on the rumors. Lil Weezy also said that he has seen LeBron grow into this massive stardom around his name over the years. Other than LeBron, Wayne gave flowers to Kevin Durant as well.

He said, “To watch the sniper,” while stating that he doesn’t like to see a falling off.

Other than the two superstars, Wayne talked about Chris Paul and he admitted that he has shed tears for him. He said, “With CP, I cried.” Wayne said that he texted CP, stating, “I know you’re over here on text, but I’m crying, brother. So you probably won’t call me back.”

The two basketball veterans and the rap legend agreed that CP has had the worst luck by his side lately.

Notably, 38-year-old Paul has been released by the Phoenix Suns and is now available as a free agent.
