NBA coaches try to keep a cool head on most occasions in the league, but sometimes, a certain play might not sit well with them and they can lash out. While Warriors coach Steve Kerr has done so before, he controlled himself this time around. However, he was apparently at his limit and even told the referees he was trying to stay calm after being instigated by Patrick Beverley.

Beverley is known for instigating players, fans, and apparently even coaches around the league. It’s the 33-year-old’s way of getting them to make mistakes or take the wrong call. But this time around, he decided to take on Kerr after a controversial foul call.

Despite staying level-headed in the situation, Kerr made it clear to the referees that he was ticked off.

Karl Anthony Towns drove to the basket to get himself a bucket. However, he was fouled late and the shot clock expired. Despite that, he was allowed to make the shot, and the play was counted. Kerr went to the referees, and the play went to review. However, even then, the refs ruled it in against the Warriors.

After this, Beverley went to Kerr and the pair slapped hands, after which Beverley seemed to pat the head coach. This seemed to have slightly irked Kerr and while he did not let his anger get to him, Kerr was not in a pleasant mood. He made it clear to the refs by saying, “I’m trying to stay calm”.

Kerr had multiple reasons to not be in the greatest mood, as his team was losing. The Warriors suffered a rare loss to the Timberwolves as they missed Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Jordan Poole was the top of the scorers with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Jonathan Kuminga added 19 points off the bench. Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson combined for 25 points in the 99-119 loss.

Karl Anthony Towns starred for the Timberwolves with 26 points, 11 rebounds and 1 assist. Malik Beasley added 16 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Guard Patrick Beverley chipped in with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.
