In Need of a Paltry Amount, $165 Million Worth James Harden Shows Remorse for Putting Pressure on His Mother Who Used to Work Very Hard

James Harden’s journey, from the bottom to the top, has not been an easy one. Like many professional athletes, Harden and his family have been through some tough times before getting to the NBA. Harden’s mother, being a single parent to three kids, worked very hard to make ends meet for her family.

James Haeden is now a millionaire and provides for his family. Yet he regrets troubling his mother in their difficult times. In his recent interview with Jordan Awoye, James Harden shed light on his mother’s sacrifices for providing for their family.

James Harden was brought up with his two siblings by a single mother. Harden’s mother, Monja Willis raised three children in a rough neighborhood. To provide for her kids, Willis worked multiple jobs, sacrificing her own needs for her children. Willis had multiple jobs, like working for long hours as a custodian and a bus driver only to take care of her family.

Harden’s mother sometimes managed loans from different people, only to pay for her kid’s basketball expenses and other needs. Despite all such difficulties, she never gave up on her kids’ dreams and supported them to thrive. Apart from being so occupied with work, she always managed time to be present at her kids’ games, cheering and rooting for them.

Harden regrets troubling her mother at such difficult times for money. While addressing a situation in which he asked money from her mother, Harden said” I was a baby so she literally did anything for me, but not even knowing her financial situation. She might have been struggling that week.”

James Harden in his childhood predicted that he’ll become a basketball star. One day he wrote to his mother, “Could you leave me a couple of dollars? P.S. Keep this paper. Imma be a star.” Harden regrets troubling his mother at such difficult times for money, especially since she used to work very hard.

James Harden has faced plenty of obstacles growing up, though he never let his mother’s sacrifices go in vain. The difficult times have turned him into a resilient individual, who believed in himself and continued to work hard. James Harden is grateful for those tough times and credits his mother for all the success he has achieved.
