LeBron James has not let his age stop him from surpassing his limits. Even at 37, the King is still one of the best players in the league. However, his team, the Los Angeles Lakers, aren’t looking to be in the best position. As the 9th seed in the West, the purple and gold are set for a short playoff run. While James is hungry to add another title to his resume, an NBA legend believes he needs to shift the scene to make that happen.

LeBron James has played on three teams through his 19-year career. And the King has delivered with a championship for each of his teams. The story ran no different with LA, as he won a championship in the first year of getting Anthony Davis. However, with injuries constantly pouring in on his main accomplice, this season has been underwhelming for the Lakers. In addition, their trade for Russell Westbrook hasn’t translated well. With LeBron still on top of his game, it is no doubt he can be a star for any championship team.

Does LeBron James need to move out of LA?

While making an appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Oakley opened up about the situation with LeBron James. He said he needs a fifth title in his resume and Los Angeles will not give him that. Hence, Oakley said James should request a trade and make a move to Phoenix or Philadelphia to chase a fifth ring. Fans were left bewildered hearing these claims as they took to Twitter to voice out.

Oak said: “I don’t know what’s gonna happen. He may need to get out of L.A, he needs a ring. He might need to leave to get it. Two places he could probably get it is Philadelphia or Phoenix.”

Over the years, it has been clear that LeBron’s true game thrives with shooters around. At the moment, the Lakers don’t have a lethal shooter who can utilise the King’s veritable arsenal. However, when it comes to Philly and Phoenix, both have some great shooters.

For the Suns, not only do they have one of the best leaders in basketball with CP3, but they have ample depth. Devin Booker is one of the most skilled scorers in the league putting up 25.9 points per game. In addition, he is a great shooter alongside young Cameron Johnson. Deandre Ayton could also benefit with Bron in the lineup as James and Paul are both skillful passers. With his scoring production so high, the Suns could become one of the most dominant teams to come across in recent times.

For the Sixers, the dynamic of Harden and LeBron James could be a big question mark. Embiid and the Beard are already huge offensive weapons and primary scorers on any other team. With the inclusion of LeBron, it could overcrowd the offense and have no sync in motion. Despite all three of them being the biggest stars, it would be tricky for them to figure out a winning formula.
