NBA legend John Salley revealed his thoughts on the reduced sentencing of mobster Sammy Gravano aka Sammy the Bull of the Gambino crime family. In an interview with DJ Vlad, Salley opened up on the justice system in America and its disparate treatment of different types of criminals. In fact, the four-time NBA champion tried to put into perspective the meager five-year sentencing for mobster Sammy the Bull after confessing to 19 murders.
John Salley is one of the more popular NBA players in the country. The veteran forward has played for multiple NBA teams throughout his career. Incidentally, he is the first player in the history of the league to record three NBA championships with three different franchises.

After retiring from basketball, Salley has carved out an identity in American public life through multiple television appearances. In this interview with DJ Vlad, he talked about his thoughts on the American judiciary.

During the interview, DJ Vlad brought up the topic of R. Kelly’s 30-year sentence. In fact, DJ Vlad expressed the opinion that the parents of the victims should be convicted as well for their negligence towards their wards. As a father of a daughter, John Salley couldn’t agree more.

Meanwhile, the conversation slowly veered to the disproportionate sentencing of some criminals compared to others. For example, DJ Vlad pointed out that the infamous underboss of the Gambino family, Sammy the Bull, got only five years in prison despite admitting to murdering 19 people.
In response, Salley seemed to agree that there’s a discrepancy in the sentencing of the American justice system. Furthermore, he underlined the selective prosecution that takes place in the system. In other words, some criminals get a free pass while others are heavily prosecuted.
The former Pistons center also talked about how these things happen under the government’s supervision. “Because they already knew,” he said about a particular case. “This is the craziest thing. We see it in the movies.”

In an interview with DJ Vlad, Sammy the Bull addressed his reduced sentencing. As it turned out, the infamous underboss worked with the government for two years that helped convict around 38 people.
In addition, Gravano’s testimony led to the capture of two mob bosses. One of them was John Gotti, the Gambino crime family’s boss.
