After missing several games due to a leg injury, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry finally made his return against the Los Angeles Lakers. Much to the Warriors’ dismay, the ‘Baby Faced Assassin’ failed to lead the team to a win as Lakers’ Anthony Davis stole the spotlight with his monster performance. Despite that, Steph reached a major milestone in the game that effectively put him ahead of Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. However, even surpassing the Chicago Bulls legend could not save Curry from all the backlash he received from fans.

The Golden State Warriors were on a five-game winning streak until they faced the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night. Despite having a strong roster against the LeBron James-less Lakers, the Warriors succumbed to their third straight defeat against their California rivals.

The official social media handle of the Golden State Warriors uploaded a tweet informing fans of Stephen Curry’s achievement. In the game against the Lakers, the 4x NBA champion surpassed basketball legend Michael Jordan in the All-Time assists list. Curry was previously positioned at No. 51 with 5632 career assists in total.

The Warriors superstar eventually dished out two assists to surpass ‘His Airness’. By the end of the game, Curry had also surpassed NBA veteran Chauncey Billups for the No. 49 spot with 5638 assists. This comes less than two months after Curry’s Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs set the record for the largest crowd at an NBA game, a record-breaking event that was previously set by MJ’s Bulls.
