It’s safe to say that there is no love lost between Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas. The two were rivals in the 80s and competed against each other several times. Thomas, who even missed out on playing in the dream team due to Jordan, has been taking subtle digs at ‘His Airness’. However, his latest shot seems to have backfired as fans have called him out.

John Salley, a four-time NBA champion with three different teams, is also one of the few who played with Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan. He also played with Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.
Salley said that the greatest player he played with was Isiah Thomas and not Michael Jordan, who is regarded as the GOAT. Thomas has used that, and he quoted Salley on Twitter.

The rivalry between Thomas and Jordan
The rivalry between the Bad Boy Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls was one of the greatest in NBA history. They met each other several times in the playoffs and it was an ugly sight for Jordan. Thomas and the Pistons used to apply the Jordan rules, which constituted beating up ‘His Airness’.
This strategy was highly effective as the Pistons beat the Bulls several times in the playoffs. However, when MJ eventually got enough help, the Bulls were able to get past them.
The two stars didn’t always dislike each other. However, things changed as the rivalry progressed. Isiah felt he didn’t get the credit for beating Jordan multiple times, and he has stated that often. He felt that Jordan got all the credit and was made the poster boy of the NBA.
Jordan, meanwhile, has stated that he couldn’t stand the Pistons. He said that the team was dirty, but he also credited them for making him a better player. The 6x NBA champion also said he could not stand Isiah Thomas.
This intense rivalry has been going on for decades now and is showing no signs of coming to a stop.
