LeBron James has currently started his 19th season in the NBA. His longevity at the very top of the NBA has cemented his legend and possible GOAT status. Despite the personal records and team achievements that LeBron has set, he has many detractors among fans and the media. An NBA expert recently hit out at such detractors of LeBron.
Mike Breen made his comments about LeBron James on the ‘Rex Chapman Show with Josh Hopkins’. Breen is a famous figure for his work as a play-by-play sports commentator. He reserved high praise for LeBron, who he lauded for sustaining pressure since a young age and while he played for the Miami Heat.
Breen said, “When he came in as the most hyped player in the history of the game. And that has remained the same every single year league. So he’s the one where the attention and the focus is on him more than any other player. He’s had his whole career. And to not have that pressure bother him and have his ups and him get knocked down that year.”

Breen further added saying, “His first year. He was in Miami. He was the number one villain. I mean, the number one and he’ll there’ll be plenty of people. It doesn’t matter what he does, it will never be enough.”
The 60-year-old Breen is currently in his 29th season as an NBA broadcaster. He remains the lead announcer on the MSG Network for the New York Knicks games. Alongside calling NBA games for ESPN, Breen also calls the NBA Finals on the ABC channel.

LeBron James’ stint with the Miami Heat
LeBron decided to move to the Miami Heat in 2010. The Cleveland Cavaliers could not fulfill his ambition to win an NBA title at the franchise. The decision to move to the Heat generated controversy in the media, with the latter dubbing it as ‘The Decision’ in the buildup to his move.

Despite widespread criticism by fans and the media, LeBron bagged his move to the Heat. He linked up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh at his new franchise. The trio complemented each other well as they led the Heat to success in the NBA. Withstanding the pressure and criticism, LeBron won two NBA titles with the Heat.
