Jordan vs James is the favorite debate of the media, with most of them happening almost every week. Although Michael Jordan might have more NBA titles than LeBron, James has the better numbers. Despite these rivalries, LeBron James has called MJ his inspiration.

After crossing Michael Jordan to move into the fourth position on the all-time scoring list, an elated LeBron talked about his feelings. He said, “For a kid from Akron, Ohio, that needed inspiration, needed some type of positive influence, MJ was that guy for me.”

LeBron added after the game, “I wanted to be like MJ, wanted to shoot fadeaways like MJ, wanted to stick my tongue out on dunks like MJ, wanted to wear my sneakers like MJ. I wanted kids to look up to me at some point like MJ. It’s crazy, to be honest. It’s beyond crazy.”

Los Angeles Lakers vs Charlotte Hornets: A preview

As the Lakers take on the Charlotte Hornets, it sets up another epic James vs Jordan battle. Although this time it’s not on the basketball court. 

A 9th placed Los Angeles Lakers take on the 7th placed Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets led by LaMelo Ball are currently 13-7 on their home court. The Lakers, on the other hand are 9-13 away from home.

The last time the Lakers met the Hornets, it ended up in an overtime win for the Lakers led by Anthony Davis. For the Hornets, LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges have been key this season. Ball averages 19.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 7.7 assists this season. On the other hand, Bridges averages 20.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.

With LeBron James being expected to sit out the game due to a knee injury, the Lakers have Anthony Davis back after a long injury. The Hornets, on the other hand are missing Jalen McDaniels due to an ankle injury and Gordon Hayward, who has been put in the health and safety protocols.
