“It’s Like a Soap Opera”: Optimistic Kawhi Leonard News Doesn’t Sit Well With NBA World as LA Awaits Return of 2x Finals MVP
Follow Us
Kawhi Leonard has always had a cloud of injury looming over him. The two-time NBA Finals MVP has only played an average of 60 regular-season games per year since 2016. This season, Leonard has only played two out of the 12 games for the LA Clippers so far. Reports state that he has been dealing with issues in his knee. With the release of an injury update, the timeline of his return remains uncertain. However, this report didn’t sit well with fans.
The report stated that Leonard will miss the game against the Brooklyn Nets. The decision was taken despite him reportedly having a rather decent practice session. Clippers’ head coach Tyronn Lue stated that while this is a positive sign for the team, Leonard still needs time to get back on the court. He stated that the two-time NBA champion still needs to work on his knee and fitness. After this, he said that they will “reassess him to see how he’s feeling after we go to medical and just kind of see if we check all the boxes.” This update left the NBA community upset.

So he'll come back for like a game or two and then miss 10 and then play a few and then miss a few weeks and then… This dude literally never tells anyone anything about when he's gonna play. Just kind of shows up when he feels like it.

The Los Angeles Clippers have seen their players set up and take responsibility. Clippers star forward, Paul George has had a great run in the last five games especially. He has shot above 50% from the field and secured 25+ points under his belt in each game.
The anticipation around Kawhi Leonard‘s return continues for fans. However, the Clippers seem to be managing well with the likes of Paul George so far. They play the Brooklyn Nets next and hope to maintain their momentum.
