In the third quarter during the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Memphis Grizzlies game, all hell broke loose. Donovan Mitchell and Dillon Brooks went at each other and the rest of the team had to get involved. Subsequently, they both were separated and ejected but it seems there is still some tension between the two. Although Brooks refused to comment on the situation, Mitchell wasn’t holding anything back.

While talking to the media, the Cavs star was visibly frustrated and took some shots at Brooks. He brought out their own personal rivalry and added a cheeky little dig which might annoy Brooks further.

Donovan Mitchell opens up after his ugly fight in-game

Three-time NBA All-Star Donovan Mitchell is usually one of the calmest players on the court. Like many others in the league, he prefers to let his game answer all the trash-talk. However, against the Grizzlies, fans saw an entirely different version of Spida.

In their recent faceoff, Brooks missed a shot and fell in the lane during the third quarter. In frustration, he flung out his arm and that hit Mitchell. The Cavs star threw the basketball at Brooks and also shoved him right in front of the Memphis bench.

Things got heated quickly and the officials and teammates had to step in in order to calm down the situation. Luckily, no punches were thrown and both Mitchell and Brooks were ejected. Talking about the incident, Spida didn’t seem too happy with Brooks. 

Mitchell said, “That’s just who he is. We have seen it a bunch in this league with him. Him and I have had our personal battles for years. Quite frankly, I’ve been busting his ass for years. Playoffs. Regular season.”

Unlike Mitchell, Brooks has not commented on the situation. When asked to talk about his ejection, Ja Morant stepped in and asserted that the team will not talk about it.

A few days ago, the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Memphis Grizzlies in an exciting match. During the game, Dillon Brooks had some exchanges with NFL legend and media personality Shannon Sharpe.

One thing led to another and an ugly spat took place. Almost the entire Memphis team was involved and Ja Morant’s father also stepped in and went back and forth with Sharpe.
