NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal may have had one hell of a career on the court, but his relationships have not been as successful as he might have hoped for. He divorced his wife in 2009 and recently he opened up that he messed up during their relationship. And now he makes an unheard confession on his own podcast.

Shaq and his ex-wife Shaunie met in 1999. They tied the knot in 2002 and they had four kids as well. Shaq had another daughter from a previous relationship, and Shaunie had a son from her former partner. Shaq took all of them under his wing.

But Shaq and Shaunie did not have the greatest time together. They separated in 2007 but reconciled sometime later. However, they filed for divorce back in 2009 after officially calling it quits. And their divorce was finalized in 2011.

Shaquille O’Neal jokes about being married more than once

Shaq recently had a guest who was a lifelong Philadelphia 76ers fan and was going to get married soon. So all the hosts on the podcast wished her well for her upcoming journey.

But Shaq has a bit of advice about marriage, particularly from his own experience in the past.

Shaq was surprised to learn that the fan had met her future husband on Tinder and they got married seven years later. And he talked about his experience with the app, where everyone thought he was fake. They didn’t believe it was actually Shaq.

Shaq adds, “I’ve Had a Lot of Failed Marriages. So I can definitely give you expert advice”. When his co-hosts say that he had one failed marriage and it was not actually failed, since he had six beautiful kids, Shaq continues,” Are you sure about that…I’ve been married once? “

He then offers her some advice about marriages. He says when you are a couple, not every argument needs to be had. Some might get out of hand and they might be really petty. So he suggests that she keep the arguments to be kept to the important stuff.

Shaq also gave her spicy advice to keep their relationship hot. He has definitely learned from his past experience or should we say experiences?
