The nets received some terrible news at the beginning of the season when Irving decided not to comply with the league’s protocols. This left them shorthanded for a good part of the season as they even kept him away from the team. However, putting the past behind, KAI has returned to play away games. But he wishes to play basketball at home as well.

Nets to have hopes with KAI?

The case of Kyrie remains a little complicated with the way things are. His position on the league’s protocols prevents him from participating in any home games. This comes from the law in New York City and the league’s strict policy for players. However, according to recent updates, KAI said he wishes to play home games as well. And this had NBA Twitter up in a frenzy.

His statement does call for a lot of interpretation. It is not clear if Irving has changed his stance yet, but if so, his return as a full-time player would have a huge impact on the Nets. With KD out with injury, it will provide Harden a lot more support when taking on home games. Moreover, come playoff time, the Big 3 in Brooklyn can dominate the court with their offensive supremacy.

Currently, Irving is the only superstar available for the Nets. Harden has been out for the past couple of games with a hamstring injury while KD remains injured. Hence, his role is much more crucial in these circumstances. However, the Nets haven’t been doing the best recently as they extended their losing streak to 7 games after their loss to the Denver Nuggets.
