The 2023 NBA playoffs have given the fans a taste of the enthralling postseason that awaits them. From major upsets to nail-biting series, the first round of the playoffs has much more to offer than expected from top-seed teams facing other. However, not everything was that disruptive, and some games turned out just as they were predicted. The Philadelphia 76ers swept the Brooklyn Nets in round 1 of the playoffs. However, while celebrating the win, James Harden‘s teammate just irked him enough to get a reaction out of him.

James Harden and Co. demolished the NY side in four games of round 1 of the playoffs to send them on an early vacation. However, while celebrating, a certain 76ers star went a little overboard for The Beard’s liking.

Philly star trolls James Harden after clinching round 1 in four games
On Thursday, the 76ers went into game 3 of their first-round playoffs against the Brooklyn Nets. It was the first away game of their postseason, and they hoped to repeat their brilliant performance over the past two games. Although they completed their mission and won the third game, Harden had to face a setback after being ejected for hitting Royce O’Neal in the groin during a play.

Harden was visibly frustrated with the decision and expressed the same after the game. However, it wasn’t the end of that for the Beard, as his talented teammate had other plans for him. After clinching the series in the fourth game, Tyrese Maxey, the talented 22-year-old star of the 76ers, decided to celebrate their win over the Nets on Instagram.

The youngster posted several images of their win against Brooklyn while also cheekily adding a picture of his senior James Harden’s dejected expression after being ejected in game 3.?

Maxey wanted to poke Harden, and it seems like it worked perfectly. Harden went onto the Instagram post to comment on what seemed like banter between the two stars.?
“A**hole,” wrote Harden in the comment section. After the game 3 ejection, Harden went on to mention how the decision was “unacceptable”. Seems like his Philly teammates had a lot of fun in the locker room, poking fun at the 10-time All-Star. It tells a lot about the squad’s morale at the moment, which can seemingly convert grim situations into fun. Something that would definitely help them in their postseason campaign.

The fans have a lot of hope for their players, especially Joel Embiid and James Harden, where the former has been the highlight of their squad, and can probably win the MVP award for the season. Only time will tell if the Phillies can trample their future opponents, who most definitely will be a tougher challenge than the Nets.
