The Houston Astros are officially the 2021-2022 MLB champions. With a chance to seal the World Series at home, the Astros took full advantage of their home crowd and clinched the series in six games. And this victory will certainly make James Harden, Matthew McConaughey, Russell Westbrook, and other celebrities, who are Astros fans, proud of their team’s achievement.

The NBA and MLB are two of the oldest leagues in the world. And over the years, they have had stars from either sport show support and love to the fans and players. Several NBA players are often seen at World Series games. LeBron James, James Harden, and other stars have gone on to cheer for their respective teams.

And this year, the Astros fans in the NBA will surely be delighted as they avenge last year’s loss in the World Series. The Astros have been one of the best teams in the MLB over the last few years. Even though they went through a huge scandal, the Astros have bounced back and clinched another World Series.

The Astros have quite a few high-profile fans and several of them are from the NBA. James Harden is arguably the biggest of them and he was part of the Houston Rockets for nine years. Harden was beloved by Rockets fans and other sports fans in Houston as well. He brought the Rockets back into title contention and even though he could not win a championship, Harden left a legacy in Houston.

The Astros also has several other celebrities as their fans too. Legendary actor Matthew McConaughey has been a lifelong fan, and he is often at games cheering them on with an Astros jersey. He even introduced them in the 2019 World Series. Rapper Travis Scott is a native of the city and he supports every Houston-based team. He has been very involved with the Astros over the years.
