The NBA season is over and teams are looking to sign free agents already. The Sixers and the Suns who had disappointing endings to their seasons are seeing how they can make their squads better. And they are looking at a former teammate of James Harden and Chris Paul to bolster their scoring options.

Eric Gordon is a player for the Houston Rockets and he has been in the NBA for more than a decade. He is a career 16 PPG scorer, and he still has a lot to offer.

He can come off the bench and provide instant offense to any team. And the Sixers and the Suns are in dire need of that. They have reportedly expressed interest in acquiring Eric Gordon. But the NBA fans are not convinced.

Gordon still has two years left on his contract, so if any team wants him, it’s not gonna be cheap. But his value as a scorer and perimeter defender will attract a lot of teams. And the Sixers and the Suns are a few of those.

At the Sixers, there is a lot of speculation. There are reports that they want to overhaul their roster and are keen on getting Gordon. He can provide them with instant scoring off the bench, something the Sixers lacked when Joel Embiid was out.

They just failed to create good shots and this cost them the series against the Miami Heat.

At the Suns, he may have a bigger role. The Suns were one of the favorites to win the title, but they collapsed in spectacular fashion in the playoffs. Their main issues were lack of scoring outside Chris Paul and Devin Booker. And when those two cannot get going, the Suns collapsed in game 7. Gordon can solve that and he is also a good passer.

It will be very interesting to see where Gordon ends up. But they will have to offer the Rockets something substantial for his services.
