Although they did dominate for a while, everything went downhill after an injury to key player Kevin Durant. Currently, the Nets are 6th in the Eastern Conference and are on a brutal losing streak.

There is a new twist to the tale of James Harden. According to a reputed journalist, Harden was initially looking for a move away from the team during the trade deadline, but he has changed his mind now. And the reason behind this change is teammate Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant influences James Harden to stay?
One of the biggest rumors of this year’s trade market was the Harden-76ers link. With Philadelphia looking to offload Ben Simmons and Harden’s good links with the 7ers front office, everyone expected a deal to go through.

The latest news on Harden suggests otherwise. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Durant has influenced Harden to change his mind.

Speaking on ESPN’s NBA Countdown, Wojnarowski said, “Here’s where Durant is on James Harden. I’m told that he believed they could win multiple titles with him, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden. That’s why Kevin Durant pushed so hard to get Brooklyn to make that deal with Houston last year and he still believes that.”

Although the latest news denies Harden leaving anytime soon, major rumors were linking him to Houston. Harden has spent the most illustrious part of his career with the Houston Rockets and the team wants him back.
