His coach, Doc Rivers, has been very impressed with him since he took over, but he was stunned when Maxey called him to ask a question. He said, “He’s the most impressive young player I’ve ever had in 21 years of coaching. His work ethic is beyond belief… He called 2 weeks ago because he went on? the first vacation he’d ever been on in his life. He asked what do you do in vacation.”

These days young players get millions at the start of their career and can sometimes lose their way in luxuries. Even if some might be dedicated to the craft, they know how to relax on a vacation.
