The Philadelphia 76ers may have had a disappointing ending to last season, but their future looks bright. Joel Embiid is still the superstar he is and James Harden looks fitter than ever and hungry for success next season. He even took a pay cut to help his team. But what’s most exciting for Philly fans is their 21-year-old star who channeled his inner Kobe Bryant and stunned his coach with a weird question.
Tyrese Maxey is the young star of the Philadelphia 76ers and he has been balling in the league. He has taken a massive leap since his rookie season and he is arguably cementing his place as the third star for the Sixers. Many times last season, he outscored James Harden and Joel Embiid. His game has also improved and he seems to have the potential to be a superstar in the league.

What is most exciting about Maxey is his work ethic. But he doesn’t want to stop there. Maxey has been working hard in the summer to improve on his game after a disappointing second-round exit for the Sixers last season.

His coach, Doc Rivers, has been very impressed with him since he took over, but he was stunned when Maxey called him to ask a question. He said, “He’s the most impressive young player I’ve ever had in 21 years of coaching. His work ethic is beyond belief… He called 2 weeks ago because he went on… the first vacation he’d ever been on in his life. He asked what do you do in vacation.”

These days young players get millions at the start of their career and can sometimes lose their way in luxuries. Even if some might be dedicated to the craft, they know how to relax on a vacation. But Maxey has been so dedicated that he had to ask his coach for advice on what to do. Surely even the great Kobe Bryant would be impressed by that.
The Philadelphia 76ers are hungry for success and want to prove everyone wrong. James Harden seems to have a chip on his shoulder and he wants to shut his critics down. Add to that a hard working Tyrese Maxey, Sixers fans will undoubtedly be expecting great things from the team next season.
