There has been a lot of speculation in the league regarding the future of James Harden. James Harden did not sign his extension with the Brooklyn Nets. This puts his future with the franchise on uncertain terms. Harden is currently one of the best shooting guards in the league and is a player who can do anything on the court.

James Harden has immense offensive capabilities with great playmaking skills. Moreover, he is also an exceptional scorer. Any team would be lucky to have him on his roster. James Harden has a huge market for his talent and a lot of teams would be looking to acquire him.

However, the best guess spectators and journalists have come up with is the Philadelphia 76ers. Many believe that James Harden would end up with the Sixers as he already has a pre-existing relationship with Daryl Morey and Mark Rubin.

Moreover, this deal potentially be an amazing trade move for the Sixers. They would get rid of Ben Simmons and acquire a deadly offensive player. Joel Embiid and Harden have the capability to form one of the deadliest and most dynamic duos in the NBA. This trade move would essentially make the 76ers a superteam.

A mock trade from Bleacher Report has provided a blueprint for a 3-team deal that would end in the 76ers acquiring James Harden.

The third team to be included in this trade is the Boston Celtics. This mock trade is extremely well thought out as it encompasses everything that is to be considered. However, whether it will actually happen or not is just speculation.

The mock trade states that Celtics would acquire Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and two first-round picks in 2022 and 2024. The Nets would receive Jaylen Brown, Dennis Schroder, and Josh Richardson. The Sixers would obviously end up with James Harden.

Would the deal work?

Nothing can be said right now. However, the trade has the potential to work. There are a lot of things that need to be considered. Would Boston be willing to give up an important player like Jaylen Brown? This is an extremely tricky move since Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown share brotherly chemistry.

The Sixers would be losing one of their best shooters in Seth Curry. However, that gap would be covered by James Harden and Tyrese Maxey.

The Nets seem to gain a lot from this trade. They are losing Harden. However, now that there is one less superstar on the team, they can focus exclusively on Kevin Durant. This would give them the chance to utilize Durant’s peak to the maximum.
