It has been a season of extremes for the Boston Celtics. During the early part of the season, they were out of the play-in spots. It looked like rookie head coach Ime Udoka was struggling with the team. The team looked directionless, blowing multiple double-digit leads in the process.

After a players-only meeting following the team blowing another lead, the performances changed since the turn of the year. And now the Boston Celtics sit just two wins away from completing this miracle season.

But the road has not been easy for the Celtics. Their second-half resurgence would give them the second seed in the top-heavy Eastern Conference. They would sweep the Brooklyn Nets in four games, taking revenge for last year’s gentlemen sweep. Then came the real test, a showdown against the reigning NBA Finals MVP and the defending champs, the Milwaukee Bucks.

The series would be a seven-game affair which Boston would ultimately win convincingly. But it was important that the team’s success would not go into the players’ heads and Jayson Tatum made sure of that. NBA Finals 2022: A recap till now

The Boston Celtics currently lead the NBA Finals series 2-1 against the Golden State Warriors. Warriors star Steph Curry has been the standout player averaging more than 30 points even though his team is behind in the series. For Boston, Jaylen Brown has stepped up and has been the team’s most consistent performer till now.

Boston’s bench has shown up for two of the games, while the Warrior’s bench has struggled to create an impact when Curry is not in the game.

Klay Thompson finally found his touch and scored 25 points. Game 4 is an all-important game now. If Boston wins then the series is as good as over but if the Warriors win they can carry the momentum back to their homecourt.
