NBA superstar Jayson Tatum is one of the best young players in the league right now. He has been at the center of things for the Boston Celtics in the playoffs. Tatum helped the Celtics reach the NBA Finals for the first time in 12 years. In the Conference Finals, Jayson helped the Celtics to edge out Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.?

As the Celtics won the Bob Cousy Eastern Conference Trophy, Jayson Tatum won the Larry Bird Eastern Conference MVP Trophy. It is only fitting that a Celtics player wins the inaugural Larry Bird trophy. But growing up, Tatum was a huge fan of rival Kobe Bryant.

In Game 7 of the Conference Finals, Jayson wore a purple armband with the number 24 as a tribute to Kobe Bryant. And it seemed to have done the trick as he scored 26 points with 10 rebounds and 6 assists.?

Jayson Tatum is definitely a Kobe Bryant fan

After winning game-1 of the finals, Jayson Tatum was seen wearing what Kobe wore during his Celtics? workout, for team practice. While a lot of fans loved his tribute to the late Bryant, some felt that it was too much. Recently, it was reported, that Bryant?s first-ever playoff game-worn jersey was sold for $2.73 million.

The fans are losing their minds thinking that it could be Jayson Tatum who bought the jersey.?

It is not clear whether Tatum actually did buy it. But it would be interesting if he actually did and wore it to the next game. Also, the Celtics might need all the help they can get in Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors entered the NBA Finals without losing a single game in their arena during the playoffs. But Jayson Tatum and the Celtics shocked the Warriors and the world by winning Game 1 in tremendous fashion.?

The Celtics stunned everyone with their huge comeback win. At the end of the third quarter, the Warriors led by 15 points. But the Celtics turned it around in the fourth quarter as they outscored the Warriors 40-16. And they took the lead with a scoreline of 120-108, much to the dismay of the Warriors? fans. By doing so, the Celtics became the first team to win a Finals game by double digits after trailing by double digits in the fourth quarter as per reports.
