Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks were ousted by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals this season. Their quest for back-to-back crowns came to a screeching halt. The Bucks brought a championship to the city after a 50-year layoff and were among the favorites to do so again this season. This season, however, bore no fruit for them.

Antetokounmpo, after having another solid individual season, did everything in his power to bring glory to Milwaukee yet again. However, injuries to crucial players and a lack of points production broke down the Bucks’ express. The Celtics were successful in slowing down the Bucks; however, they couldn’t slow down the Greek Freak. Owing to several blunders, though, Milwaukee blew a 3-2 lead. And their quest for another title was brought to a stop.

As the Bucks were headed home after a dismal Game 7, Giannis did the exact same thing. The burden of the regular season prevents athletes from spending time with their families. Giannis chose to take advantage of his early departure from the playoffs and spend some quality time with his family.

The Bucks player shared a picture of himself relishing some well-deserved family time in Greece. The former 2-time MVP traveled to his home country with his two beautiful children to explore one of the most prominent historical places, the Acropolis of Athens. Giannis will continue to torment his adversaries for some more years to come, but his fatherly love and dad jokes will live around.

Watching Giannis Antetokounmpo holidaying, fans on Twitter didn’t hold back

Antetokounmpo may be enjoying his vacation away from the distractions of the outside world. Fans on Twitter, however, had a field day when they saw his vacation picture.

What’s next for Giannis and the Bucks?

The Milwaukee Bucks will have to go back to the drawing board next season. The back office has a number of issues to solve. The most important one is locating reliable offenses other than Giannis.

Khris Middleton was sidelined with an injury, and Jrue Holiday underperformed. Therefore, it was up to Antetokounmpo to shoulder the majority of the team’s scoring output and playmaking. It was obvious during the Celtics series that the Bucks could use more shot-creation.

While Middleton will return next season, the team will benefit from adding additional guys to the bench who can create their own offense. Antetokounmpo’s shoulders will be lightened if the Bucks get players capable of putting a defense on its heels.
