Despite their frequent verbal battles on the floor, the Philadelphia 76ers star has never concealed his respect for Durant. He even pleaded with the Sixers front office to sign KD in 2016. However, that didn’t materialize as he took his talents to the Bay Area.

Embiid, however, doesn’t want to miss out on another huge opportunity to pair up with Durant. The recent reports indicate that he wants the franchise to clear house if that is what it takes to bring KD to Philly.

Joel Embiid pushing hard to reunite Kevin Durant with James Harden

Following Durant putting in the request for a trade, Joel Embiid expressed his feelings with an acronym that encapsulates the emotions of the majority of the NBA universe. The reaction also perfectly summarizes the entire mess that the Brooklyn Nets have been in over the last few months.

If the Sixers are planning a trade for Durant, they will definitely have the necessary personnel. Tyrese Maxey would very likely be at the heart of the deal.  However, the list of assets from there becomes less spectacular. Tobias Harris would possibly be included to make the salary work, as would Matisse Thybulle and a handful of draft picks.
