Boston fans rejoiced in the TD Garden as they booked a ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals. Embracing the Game 7 moment, Jayson Tatum, the Boston Celtics‘ ace took the load on his shoulder. He made sure to put out the Philadelphia 76ers’ fire, and he did so with an amazing, record-breaking performance. The Celtics fans might have chanted ‘MVP’ for the 25-year-old, but the Sixers fans found a dark place in their hearts for Tatum. However, longtime Philly fan Kevin Hart mustered his feelings and still gave Tatum his props, but it wasn’t all that pretty.

Kevin Hart congratulates Jayson Tatum after the Celtics star’s jab at him following Sixers’ Game 7 loss

Hart is a native of Philadelphia. As a city boy and an avid lover of sports, he rides with Philly everywhere. From the Philadelphia Eagles to the Sixers, he supports the teams wholeheartedly. Sitting courtside and trolling stars is something the comedian has become known for. There have been times his passion has come back to bite him. But tonight, Jayson Tatum decided to switch roles and take the jab at Hart.

“I want him to still answer my phone call after today. No hard feelings,” Tatum said following his historic 51-point performance to beat the Sixers.

And Hart responded to the Celtics superstar taking the ‘loss like a man’. But there was the evident pain in his voice. “Jayson Tatum, I hate it but I got to give you props. Boy, I got to congratulate you for the friend you are and the competitor you proved to be today. You showed up and you showed out. You put your foot in our a**,” said Hart.

Clinching his jaws all the way through, he even poured out a shot in Tatum’s name. However, he could only keep his composure for so long. “Congrats on your win. Hard work tastes different. Congrats, I hope you guys get it done. Hope you’re proud of yourself, f*****g a*****e.”?

Kevin Hart’s wish to watch the Sixers win will have to wait another season. After tonight’s catastrophe, the franchise might be due for some major changes.

Tatum broke Stephen Curry’s record within weeks

It was just a few weeks ago that NBA fans were awestruck by Stephen Curry’s clinical 50-point performance in Game 7 against the Sacramento Kings. He beat out Kevin Durant to be the star with the most points in a Game 7. It was improbable to be broken anytime soon. That was until Jayson Tatum shot the lights out of the Sixers tonight.

The 25-year-old scoring maestro gave the MVP Joel Embiid 51 points with the season on the line. He made history beating out The Chef for the most points ever scored in a Game 7 in the NBA. Now a tough, resilient Miami Heat stands in front of Boston. Their rivalry has picked up in recent years, becoming regular foes in the postseason.
