Fans are not happy with Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid. The reason? His recent foul play?against two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. Embiid’s Philadelphia 76ers played against Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks on November 18, 2022. Both teams played against each other for the second time this season, the first time being on October 20. While the Bucks bagged the win back then, this time it was the 76ers who claimed victory.

The Philadelphia 76ers faced the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The Bucks have had a relatively smooth start to the season with an 11-4 record so far. Similarly, the 76ers are not too behind with a record of 8-7. The 76ers defeated the Bucks by 110-102 on the night. Despite that, fans are rather furious with?Joel Embiid.

In an attempt to stop the ‘Greek Freak’ from making a shot, Embiid went to block him. While Antetokounmpo attempted to Eurostep around Embiid, the latter’s forearm came in contact with Antetokounmpo’s stomach.

However, after reviewing, NBA officials called it a flagrant 1 foul instead of ejecting him immediately.?Evidently, fans were not happy with the result and instead demanded Embiid’s ejection for his “dirty play”.

The Philadelphia 76ers played the game without?James Harden and Tyrese Maxey. Earlier, it was reported that Harden would be out of the team roster for about a month due to an injury. On the other hand, Maxey was sidelined after sustaining a foot injury during the first half of the game. Despite that, the 76ers managed to beat Giannis Antetokounmpo?and the Milwaukee Bucks. Embiid gave a good performance on the court as he matched up to Antetokounmpo with ease. During the first half, the five-time NBA All-Star successfully blocked the ‘Greek Freak’ from making a dunk shot.

While the NBA officials termed it as a flagrant 1 foul, many expressed their disagreements, including ESPN commentator Doris Burke. Similarly, Twitterati opposed the decision and stated that Embiid should have been ejected from the court immediately.

Despite losing, Antetokounmpo scored 25 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 assists. Helping him out was Bucks’ forward Bobby Portis, who scored 21 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists. On the other hand, Embiid scored the highest in the game with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists. Before getting injured, Maxey added 24 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists.
