LeBron James started his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Originally being from Akron, he always got the support and love of the Cleveland fans. Rarely do we see a man of James’ talent and caliber stay on top of his game for so long and for multiple teams. LeBron James is undeniably an undisputed legend of the game. Whether some people think he is the GOAT or not is completely on them. But being in question and mentioned in the GOAT debate speaks volumes.

In his two stints in Cleveland, he was practically unstoppable most times. In fact, every team he has played for his influence has been always impactful. James still has the desire, the hunger, and the dedication to work hard. It is clear no matter who he plays for or for how many more years we will get to see the all-time great, his attitude to try to be the best on the court will always remain.

An honor for LeBron

Craig Webb of the Akron Beacon Journal recently reported that “just a kid from Akron” is about to be honored like very few in the world have. Some of the world’s biggest athletes and/or famous celebrities have had the privilege of having their statues made. Now James would be honored by a museum in his name in his hometown.

As always, NBA Twitter did not let this opportunity pass to be in high praise of the legend. Being in the GOAT debate with Michael Jordan himself, James now has an honor that MJ does not. It does not change much when it comes to the comparison of the two players, but who can stop the fans from being… well, fans.

LeBron James museum

The LeBron James museum will open in Akron in 2023. It will be a part of the transformation of the former Tangier entertainment complex in Akron, rebranded into the House Three Trinity. The museum will occupy most of the basement there.

“The first exhibit space will feature his humble early years growing up in Akron’s Springhill Apartments,” Webb wrote.

“The next exhibit space will focus on how he honed his basketball skills, winning accolades and championships at Akron’s St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and forging friendships that have lasted a lifetime,” Webb continued.

“This all leads up to the big show — his NBA career,” said Webb.

“From the Cavaliers to the Heat back to the Cavaliers to the [Los Angeles] Lakers, this large exhibit space will take in his professional basketball career, which includes four NBA championships and two gold medals in the Olympics.”

“The next exhibit space will take a look at his off-the-court business ventures, such as a pizza business and various entertainment endeavors that include TV shows like ‘The Wall’ and his movies like the recent reboot of ‘Space Jam,’” Webb reported.

The final hallway is going to be a bit more special. The visitors, before exiting the museum, will walk the path of his LeBron James Family Foundation. People will get to witness the idea that led to the opening of the I Promise School.

Webb also told how the existence of the museum would help the families of Akron and that it would help the community learn job skills, creating more job opportunities.

LeBron James will be remembered in a way only a few others have had the opportunity. Some might disagree, but the fact that remains unchanged is his career, and he has a lot to show for it.
